InterContinental Hotels Group has signed a management agreement with Origin Property to bring Staybridge Suites to Asia Pacific.
The all-suite extended stay brand will launch in Thailand in 2019, with the opening of Staybridge Suites Bangkok Thonglor followed by the 400-room Staybridge Suites Chonburi Siracha in 2020.
Siracha is a coastal town close to a port, industrial estates and oil refineries, around 30 km north of Pattaya.
Joining Staybridge Suites’ 250 worldwide properties, both hotels will offer the brand’s residential environment for extended stay guests.
Suites feature fully-equipped kitchens, separate working areas and free Wi-Fi. The two hotels will offer a room rate including breakfast and use of a business centre.
The 303-room Staybridge Suites Bangkok Thonglor will be situated along the Thai capital’s main Sukhumvit Soi 55 road, a 10-minute walk from the Thonglor BTS station.
Thonglor is a popular area entertainment and restaurant district close to EmQuartier and Emporium shopping malls.
The 400-room Staybridge Suites Chonburi Siracha will be an ideal option for long-stay business guests. Located along the main Sukhumvit Road directly opposite Tukcom Siracha IT Mall, the hotel will also offer convenient access to other retail outlets nearby, including Robinson Department Store and Aeon Siracha Shopping Centre.
The developers and owners of the two properties, Origin One Company Limited and Origin One Thonglor Company Limited are subsidiaries of Origin Property Public Company Limited, listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. Origin One also owns Holiday Inn & Suites Siracha Laemchabang, which is due to open in 2020.
The Staybridge Suites brand has a pipeline of 151 hotels due to open over the next five years.
IHG currently operates 22 properties in Thailand across five brands: InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and Hotel Indigo, with a further 14 hotels in the development pipeline.
